Yes, this is my "Retirement Toy". A 2000, bright, shiny, new, magnetic red, Corvette convertible. When I started working at Ford back in '62, I had a 1961 Jewel Blue Corvette convertible, so it only made sense to get another one when my career ended there. I originally thought of getting a restored '61 "Toy", however, I soon discovered it would cost me almost as much as a new one. And with a new one, I would get all the bells and whistles--and believe me, there are plenty of those! After waiting three months for delivery, there wasn't much time to enjoy it until I had to garage it for the Michigan winter.

In 2002, we moved to the South to enjoy a warmer climate. Now I drive my "Retirement Toy" every day . What joy!
